Pricing is customizable, and I strive to deliver what the client wants. Please ask about discounts for combining engagement, maternity, and wedding packages!
*Print packages available for all photo sessions at competitive prices. For all photo sessions, clients receive all final images as full resolution .jpeg's and have the option to print using their own cost-saving print lab (i.e. mpix.com, Walmart.com, etc.). Photo shoots include up to 12 hours of post processing and turn around time is typically 1-2 weeks (weddings 4-6 weeks); rush options available.
Have any questions? Please feel free to contact me here. I strongly encourage you to ask questions, as my business is client-driven and I enjoy negotiating terms.
DevelopEmotion delivers quality digital images at competitive pricing, and I offer my customers the option of printing images themselves to help save on the huge markup common with many photographers today. If you decide not to print on your own, please contact me for print pricing – typically $100 for standard wedding prints (in addition to the cost of the prints), and $25 for shoots other than weddings.
I recommend printing all photographs at www.mpix.com. Why? Firstly, the quality is top notch. Their paper and inks are second to none, they hand inspect each and every print, and they package and ship everything with the utmost care. I recommend their “e-surface” paper for color prints and their “True Black and White” for black and white prints. Secondly, the turn-around time is extremely fast. For normal prints at 11x14 or smaller, delivery is typically made within just 2-3 days. Thirdly, the staff at mpix are amazing. If you have questions about anything on their site they are extremely courteous and helpful.
For canvas printing, I highly recommend www.pictureitoncanvas.com. This is a local San Diego based print company with extensive experience printing quality canvas wraps. The beauty of canvas is that it’s ready to hang on the wall without any further framing necessary. Both the 1.5” and 2.5” gallery wraps are beautifully created at very competitive prices – for canvases to hang on the wall, I recommend 16x20” or larger. Since they’re based on Poway, you can drop by and pick up the print and save on shipping, too! The staff at pictureitoncanvas cater to photographers and their clients, and really bend over backwards to make a great product.
There are plenty of options for printing around on the internet, including local printing companies such as Walmart, etc. I recommend the above two print labs over all the rest for two reasons. 1) I’ve printed at numerous labs and tested the quality of a dozen others. These are my favorites as they’re reproducible and consistent with excellent print quality. 2) I custom calibrate both my computer monitors and photo editing software using hardware calibration techniques, followed by soft-proofing images based on the print output of mpix printers. I can guarantee print quality and consistency because of this.
Cropping – most prints will require cropping to the desired print size. Mpix allows you to do this within their site using built-in software. For canvas prints, the crop will generally also require a padded border to fit the edges of the canvas. Questions? Just ask me! :)
